cougar

A Naples area woman is sounding a warning and seeking a hunter after a cougar approached her husband, dog and pet cat this morning and made off with the kitten.

The attack occurred at around 8:30 a.m. today near the front door of their home off Sandy Ridge Road south of Naples.

"It looked relatively young," the woman said, but it showed absolutely no fear. It just trotted up, looked them over and too our tom cat."

Those living in the area are encouraged to keep pets indoors and to keep an eye on livestock.
