Members of the Boundary Community Hospital Auxiliary have worked to benefit Boundary County health care since 1955!

This year, the internationally famous Boundary Community Hospital Auxiliary Pie and Dessert Sale will be from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, March 16, at the Seniors Hospitality Center at 6635 Lincoln Street.

Members are hoping that moving the sale to March will bring better weather, having it on Monday will encourage more homemade desserts and moving to the Senior Center will encourage folks to stop and visit!

Pies, cakes and other desserts made fresh by the world's very best bakers will be available for sale in whole or in individual portions. The coffee pot will be on and ready to serve.

Plan now to stop by for a slice and a cup of coffee, visit with friends and take a moment to enjoy our fine community. It’s a good idea to come early, as you all know, the proverbial early bird gets the—well, in this case, gets to choose from the widest selection of choice desserts.

If you would like to contribute some baked goods for the sale, bring your confections to the Senior Center between 8 and 9 a.m. on sale day. A check-in table will be set up. In addition to the traditional pie selections, cheesecake, layer cake and other baked goods are also welcome.

Funds raised will be used to purchase patient-focused items for Boundary Community Hospital. In 2019, the Auxiliary purchased a bariatric Geri chair for the Extended Care Facility, surgical instruments, laundry trucks and a can opener. This year they want to purchase some special seating for the Outpatient and Acute Care waiting rooms.

The Boundary Community Hospital Auxiliary has been supporting the hospital and health care through fund-raising and volunteering since 1955. To find out more, call Lauren Kuczka at (208) 267-6912.
