With 117 new cases of COVID-19 reported since 10 a.m. Friday, Montana, one of the states more lightly touched by the pandemic, has surpassed 4,000 confirmed novel coronavirus infections.

Yellowstone County added 26 new cases to bring the total there to 1,048 cases, Flathead and Gallatin Counties recorded 16 new cases each. Lincoln County added one new case, bringing the total to 69, with 21 cases active.

The new cases bring the cumulative Montana COVID-19 total to 4,081.

There are 71 Montanans currently hospitalized with novel coronavirus infections and 1,564 active cases. One additinal death brings the total who have succumbed to the illness to 61.
